Driving school options
New triangle-area owner here.
This is my first high-power RWD car. I'm interested in track school so that I can better learn the dynamics of the car (and so that I can avoid becoming one of those "I was going around a corner and before I knew what happened I was in a ditch" stories). The Tarheel Sports Car Club requires a four-point roll bar for convertibles, so that won't work. What are my other options?
Thanks.

Heh. I'm down for an autocross near here soon. And welcome to the family. Congrats! Be sure to wave at all us fellow s2kers.
Yes I also would like to go to a driving school or two. I want to do some HPDE's also I think that will help out alot having a instructor in the car with you. There is a auto cross here in Wilmington on Sept. 26th.
Track days are great. The first couple times you hit a track you'll have an instructor in the car with you. That's a great learning experience, plus getting to drive 9/10s on the track. Look for track days at Roebling Road in Savannah,GA, Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC, etc... and don't forget your helmet!
