Default Dynamat Project. Just finished today

Hi Gang,

Just want to share with you on my Dynamat project. I did the trunk, passenger side and driver side. I ran out of materials half way through.

If you want to cover every part of the metal, the bulk pack is not enough. I also bought a trunk kit. (bulk pack=9 pieces, trunk kit=5 pieces). I still need 3 more pieces for the 2 doors and trunk lid. I will do this when i install my stereo soon.

I couldn't pull the whole carpet out on the driver's side. The dead pedal would not come out. It shows in the service manual that 2 screws holds it. But it look like it has been riveled to the frame. So, I have to do one small sections at a time.

Get the dynamat off ebay.com. It is way cheaper than the in the GB.

Have a lot of patience if you are working by yourself (like me). A second pair of hands would be recommended.

What a difference in sound though, my car is so much quieter now. Now it is time for that Invidia exhaust.

If anyone needs help with dynamating their car, let me know. I can come help.

Me personally, I like the noise and "rawness" of the car...
Fine job indeed...

Wow, that's a lot of dynamat. Are you trying to isolate the road noise? Stereo vibrations? What kind of power are you looking to puty into your sound system?

I hear that stuff weighs a lot. I have some in my truck, but not to the degree that the above trunk was done. Mine was basically to isolate vibrations from the Sub in the trunk.

Nice job on that!! How hard was the install?

Yeah, mainly I was trying to get rid of road noise for my stereo and an invidia soon. I hope the dynamat will help with the droning. I put two sheets over the exhaust hump.

Brandon, you are right. I can't hear the engine anymore like I used to...Oh well the invidia will make up for it.

Deiger, the driver's side sucked, b/c I couldn't pull the whole carpet out. I had to work around the carpet. Also, the trunk is hard on the back. Removing the panels just to get to the carpet sucked also.

Brian, I don't know the technical name for it. For me, it's like tar and a thick aluminum stuck together.

Brian, when is your next competition. I want to check one out, let me know.

HAHA well my next competition was going to be a "pro" fight against someone who spposedly sucks real hard. I am not someone who enjoys fighting though. this was going to be in the cage in atlanta, but im just not driven to do it. matt will probably do several fights though.

as far as just grappling events, that could come anytime.
