I'm sure it is not news to everyone that Juan Pablo Montoya will join Chip Gnassi NASCAR team and will supposedly make his deput this weekend.

My guess is the rest of the field will welcome him in normal NASCAR fashion, a little bumping and rubbing.

I thing I find most interesting is the similarity with this and the movie Talladega Nights with Will Ferrell. In the movie a foreign driver joins NASCAR and tries to take over everything.

Rumor has it that Montoya left McLauren and went with Chip before he was fired.

Main reason for the switch, I hear, is for the money in endorsements.

Just found out that Montoya will not be racing on Sunday in the main Talladega race. Evidentaly he has to cut his teeth in a lower racing arm of NASCAR, below the Busch series, until NASCAR is convinced he can run with the big boys.
