Default Good Bye 795, Hello 796!

Today was a sad and happy day for us. We said good bye to our 2001 Silverstone/Black and picked up our 2003 Silverstone/Black. As some of you may know, my wife purchased our 2001 as a X-mas gift for me back in 2000. So, I felt an attachment to that particular car.

My wife made me feel better, as I sat in our new 2003 S2000 to drive it home. She smiled at me and said,"Merry Christmas."

What a wonderful early Christmas gift! I can't even get my wife to let me sing Christmas songs yet!

...Now ya gotta break it in again!

Nice! Cool how your VIN just went up a number too!

Very cool. Trading up always feels nice but the memories live forever.

BTW, you should update your sig. While it's obvious that Silverstone was the only "silver" available in '01, now the '03's have Silverstone and Sebring Silver.

Congrats on the new car, I also am curious to know how you pulled off going up 1 number in the VIN That could only happen like one in a million times. Anyway enjoy the new S.

Thanks everyone! Sig updated too.

Our VIN#795 is for the MY01. Our VIN#796 is for the MY03. How this happened is beyond me?

I had a tough decision to make, either purchase another S or an EXL-RES Pilot with my choice of options. The deciding factor is the average fuel mileage per gallon. The 2001 S achieved 27-29MPG and the Pilot would be more like 18-22MPG.

PS: Airgate, your Hummer looks nice.
