Just moved to town from Detroit 5 days ago, and after driving around town a bit in my 2001 Ford Exploder oops Explorer sport, decided I needed something new. I'd had my heart set on a Boxster, and test drove one. Beautiful, beautiful car, but after listening to the sales guy try to explain why to get even a cd player (cassette is standard!) is $450 extra, and after tooling around in a BASE Boxster stickered at 52k, I thought I'd look around. Well, the Gastonia Honda dealer had two S2000's on the lot, and now a 2002 silver with black interior is sitting in my driveway. Never thought a 4 cylinder could sound so good. Dumped the Explorer off with eight months left on a two year lease. I am going to miss the thrill of randomly exploding tires and frequent roll-overs, but I think I will somehow get over it.

I agree...excellent decision. Docj: hope you can join us at Southend Brewery next Thursday night (6/11) around 6:00ish or later for a Charlotte owners get-together. Nothing formal; just a lot of beautiful cars in the parking lot and some good company.
