Sure, the Routan has the exterior styling of a double wide but so does the Chrysler Town and Country, the Dodge Caravan, the Honda Odyssey and the Toyota Sienna. They're all ugly beyond repair, but who cares? It's a minivan, and once you're married and pushed out a few pups, who doesn't let themselves go a little bit?

At least the Routan has some sharp VW badging, a snub-nosed front end, aggressive grille and a very angular exterior -- it's kind of like the Town and Country wearing a suit of armor. (Chrysler LLC makes the Routan in an agreement with VW, so you can spot a few family similarities.)
