Default Help Installing Springs

I just bought the Ebach pro kit to lower the car 1 inch. Doesn't look like that big of a deal to install but if anybody has experience installing springs and wants to make a few bucks get back with me. I live in the Raleigh area.

The cars a low mile garage kept 04 from Florida and is very clean and rust free underneath. Everything should come apart pretty easy.

I have tools and a garage with no heat

I could probably do it, but just rather not take it on myself.

Springs are pretty simple, do you have a Spring Compressor? Or did you plan to rent one?

While you are at it, are you interested in the set of new Koni Yellows that I decided I would not install? They will be posted for sale soon but I saw you were doing this and thought it would be an easy transition.

If you want to do it I can help but like they are stating you need a spring compressor and if you want to change shocks you can it's really easy. Also plan to have an alignment done on your car as well!!! Depending on the drop of your S it will need an alignment done, possible you can wear out your tires prematurely. If you want to change the springs we can do it Saturday after our meet or on Sunday it's no problem either. I am off on the weekends and I have been a mechanic for 12 years "professionally" before that it was a hobby. But just let me know what you plan on doing, ensure you have jack and jack stands, spring compressor and ratchet and sockets, vice grips, and wrenches. And we should be good to go.

I might could help out on the 16th, my Saturdays are pretty full. Let me reiterate a few things:

1: Alignment. Do it, no matter what you think/anyone else says, get one once they are on.

2: If you can afford new shocks (Lee's Konis), do it, you will be happier in the long run and it will help the car greatly.

3: Spring compressors, get them from advanced, they loan them for free (basically you buy them, and then let you return them).

I have done a few cars, and the S2000 is a pretty easy one if you have a good ratcheting wrench like a Gear Wrench to get to the rear tower with the gas spout in the way. Other than that, once the car is in the air and the wheels off, it takes no time. If you have any desire to install a nicer brake pad, do it now too. I have Hawk HPS pads and they are fantastic for street use.

Steve, I'll see you tomorrow at two...the call got dropped but I saved directions.

As already mentioned, you are going to want to get an alignment ASAP. Even with a one inch drop it can still unevenly set the camber and your tires and handling will suffer.

I'll bring my tools for myself as well.

I'm running Eibachs. After the install, I got a 4 wheel alignment and no problems.
