WTH?? I'm only 45mins from Wilmington and the sun is out right now...this better be the calm before the storm.. I heard Wilmy was getting hit with 60mph gusts....After 5 I'm gonna try and hit the beach

Its 15:30 and Wilmy is pretty much flooded. Almost all major roads are closed and winds are picking up. I'm in the county Emergency Operations Center now, and we're getting staffed up for a long night.

Jacksonville is only dealing with light rain, no wind, there might be some standing water in some places but nothing else.

"New Hanover EOC is GROUND ZERO for highest rainfall total thus far in this storm...6-8"...and there's more to come.....possibly 12" or more before it ends! The next big wave will be around 8:00 PM."
