Just heard that Ophelia may be a Category 2 when it hits tomorrow. Take care, Y'all!

Update: The day after, 0825 hours.

After a night of sleeping to the drone of generators, I'm actually refreshed. My yard looks like a bomb went off in it. Shreaded leaves and limbs everywhere. Fortunately no trees were down, although trees were down in the neighborhood.

The EOC has gone to minimal staffing now. Shelters will close at 1300 hours today.

Here are some pics of my drive to the EOC this morning.

First, my lovely yard.

Just down the street...

In town...

The thing about these shreaded leaves is that they get EVERYWHERE! They're inside the car, inside the house, and they just keep coming back. It took weeks for us to get all of them out of the house last time.

At least we'll have power at the house in a few hours.

Then maybe MyBride will become civil again.

Hey Bad
Glad things are not too bad in the Wilmy area. That was one indecisive woman

My yard looked similar, except it was just mainly pine needles, cones and branches and 1 big limb. Our power went off around 8pm or so. A tree on the next street over dropped a big limb on the lines over there. It came back on at 1am. The end of the sheraton peir in Atlantic Beach is gone and I hear Salter path got pretty messed up.
