Default HEy guys need some help! (NEW THREAD!)

Hello everyone,

Well I just got a whole bunch of new part for my car and need some help putting them on. With shops charging so much for labor I decided its time that I learn to do some things. I need some help installing some Espelir Springs as well as wanting to learn how to change my Oil, Transmission Fluid and Differential Fluid. If anyone is willing to help me in these areas I would be more than appreciated. I can bring some beer and food in exchange for some knowledge. Thank you very much!

P.S- As an update since I havent seen everyone in so long, I got the GP Sports Front bumper and 18inch Volk CE-28N's wrapped in some BFG KDW2s.

If you want to drive all the way down to the coast, I'd be more then happy to help.

I'd be glad to help but if you want a reference, go to Advance or Autozone and pick up a copy of the Hayes manual.

Aceprince, I can help with fluids. I'm not sure how far you are from Wilmington.
Actually it's the Helms manual. I'm not sure Hayes is producing it yet for our cars.

Not too much of an expert on springs, but I do have good fluid knowledge. Where are you located exactly? I am in Huntersville.

thanks guys, i really appreciate this. Also heres the deal with the fluids. I bought the GM Synchomesh tranny and Mobil 1 diff fluid, but they have just been sitting in my garage for about a year still sealed and brand new. Should I be ok still using them? I didnt know if it spoilt or anything like that. Also, does anyeone have any experience with Spring installation? And yes, I do plan on investing in a Helms manual. I think that would be wise for future ocations.

If those fluids are un-opened you will be fine. They don't break down until they are subjected to the heat and shear in the tranny and diff.

We can do a mini tech day in the area. Only problem at my house is I have a sloped driveway, not good for jacking cars up. My garage will only hold 1 car at a time on jacks. Time table: This weekend is bad for me. 3/11 or 3/18 might be better, Zoo Med might conflict. Let see how things develop. Worse case fluids only take about 1-2 hours at most including jack time. We could set something up in the am and we would still have the balance of the day.
