Default Hey Kevin!

Clean out your PM box dude!

Do you have a brake bleeder I can borrow at the next meet? I'm thinking of taking your advance and bleeding the brakes and clutch.

Yeah...I've never been to Kev's place nor do I know who all will need to do work there too. So I'm gauging that time is of the essence. But worse come to worse...I'll do a gb if I can without inconveniencing anyone else.

Sorry,

We can do the brake bleed easy here. I have all of the stuff. We will do it with two people but it would take about 45 minutes tops for the brakes and about 15 minutes for the clutch. I have done it many times on mine and several other S2000's.

Just buy the larger bottle, I think it is 32oz of brake fluid and that should be more then enough to do both.

That has to be better then ripping out an entire interior in 100* heat like last time.

I will post up the details in the next couple of weeks.

Well just went out and checked to see how the brake fluid looked and it's crystal clear. Should I assume then that it doesn't really need to be changed? Now going back to my service records I see that the brake fluid was changed on 8/7/2010 at 34,098 miles. My car is just shy of 39k now. So should I still change it? Also, I see a 30k maintenance was performed as well...so it's def. time for an oil change at least

Do you drive like an A@@H***? I boil my fluid enough that I change it often. If the pedal doesn't feel like stepping on concrete you should flush and bleed. It's simple , quick and easy.

If you have only 5000 miles on the brake fluid it should be good for a while unless you are tracking the car regularly.

Take a look at the clutch fluid, if that wasn't done and it is an easy one to miss I am sure that needs it.

Good call, Kev. It is pretty dirty and could def. use a flush. I've got an unopened bottle of Honda DOT 3...that should be fine for the clutch right, or should I just get some DOT4?
