High Rock Speedway needs your HELP
The High Rock developer, Dave Risdon, is facing problems from a woman who is objecting to any use on the property. She claims that the property is an historic battleground but has produced no evidence. The developer tells me that VIR has paid an attorney to argue her case and is causing quite a stir in the local community.
Dave has created an online petition here: http://www.petitiononline.com/hrir/petition.html Please voice your support by signing. If you want more information feel free to PM me.
If you know of any other forums or organizations that might support High Rock please pass this on to them.
Take it from me, this road course will be one of the finest in the eastern United States.....and VIR knows it.
Thanks in advance.

The big kid's on the block(VIR) have had it too good for too long. It's a shame they have to resort to under handed tactics rather than compete in the marketplace. I'll sign up on the petiton now.
Just signed the petition.
You may want to post this in the Atlanta and Mid-Atlantic forums. Maybe the Smoky Mountain forum, as well. Have any of the previous High Rock updates been posted in the other regions? That is, do they know about this project?
I know the Atlanta guys do track days at Road Atlanta, CMP, and Roebling. They might be interested in supporting another option. And it seems like a (somewhat) reasonable drive for the Mid-Atlantic folks (at least the ones in southern Virginia).
