The holidays are such a busy time I thought I'd go ahead and initiate something so everyone could get it on their calendar. Your suggestions of things to do/see at the meet are welcome.

In Wilmy we have the World's Largest Living Christmas Tree, an Oak tree that is over 100 years old that the city decorates each year. We also have the North Carolina Holiday Flotilla, a boat parade on Thanksgiving weekend (November 29) at Wrightsville Beach. There are festival events that day and plenty of parties that night. Phil, I am down for anything. Now that I am a part-timer I am doing a lot of driving. I just drove up to Washington and back today :-)

Airlie Gardens might be a good photo spot. Just got back from the New Bern TSB, we could set one of those up and get everyone lost......Just like me!

 

I would be down for meets that are single friendly.
how about Charleston or Savana?

 

Wilmington sounds good too. Is that right at the water?
We need dates, tough. I already had to give my time off for the holidays, but I can probably squeze a couple days more.

 

Let's get a few more peoples ideas and then set a date. Maybe there are special events in Charlotte or Raleigh that would appeal to everyone.

It looks like we'll have a local Wilmington meet. Not much interest in a Carolinas' meet.
