I have watched MANY Parliamant meetings... I know how "in touch" they are... the scream, shout, interupt, make snearing remarks, throw stuff, and fight on the floor like a bunch of rednecks to be honest.

I the Brits... but lets be honest here.... can you say "The Falklands"?

soooo, let me get this straight....the radicalness of the UK scared you into the far left soo bad that you pretended not to be American?? By the way Islam doesnt like the way we do things either, maybe you should open up to them too...
No - I told the guy I was Canadian to make him feel like a jackass for assuming I was American. He was an ignorant ****.

The UK isn't "radical" by any means, and I also wasn't "scared to the left" even though I classify myself as a progressive democrat I'll vote republican if I feel the republican is a better candidate. I just happen to, in general, agree with the Democrats more often than not.

The point that I was trying to prove with that is that there is a LOT more animosity towards the US now than there was even 10 years ago, and it's far more widespread than it was, even 10 years ago - imho. I base this on personal experience, and if you disagree fair ****ing play as our experiences are different.

What the hell, Jason!!!!!?!?!?!?

Democrats HAVE to raise taxes, becuase Republicans cut them so low the deficit gets HUGE. YOU CANT SPEND MORE THAN WHAT YOU GOT!

I personally dont mind paying an extra 500 bucks in taxes per year to NOT have to worry about invading countries, deceit, lies, conspiracies, and james bond style storylines. It's much better when all you have to worry about is who is getting laid this week in the white house......

I have to say that I agree.

I think progressive taxation is good, but with limits. If you're making 2mil a year but generating jobs and spending that $$, you're helping the economy, taxing relative to what you make (tax brackets) is good, but up to a point imho, it shouldn't be endless.

I mainly think that under a certain income level, you shouldn't have to pay income taxes at all, I also think that our programs for educating low-income families/children or teaching them skills and professions should be improved. Free handouts = bad, programs aimed to improve the lives and help people help themselves = good.

I'm aware that this is very utopian, and aware that things like this are always flawed in implementation.

However, i'm sick of seeing the rich get richer, the poor get poorer, and the middle class get forgotten. Help the poor improve their lives if they want to, allow the rich to get richer but keep an eye on it and don't give THEM the largest tax breaks, and pay some attention to the middle class. SPECIFICALLY with higher education.

I've got a lot of opinions

Well when the Rich pay 90% of the taxes I beleive they deserve a tax break, not when bubba in the trailer has another 5 kids.

FAIR TAX FTW!!!
