Default Ice Storm

How are we all enjoying the ice storm? Still have power here at home but the power has gone out for about 20 seconds through out the day. I did have to work but it was a short day since most of the business were closed since they didn't have power. The roads are fine except for rural areas that has downed trees everywhere.

Fourth day here in NC and this is the welcome I get! Didn't someone order some sunshine and 60 degree temps.?

It is all good. Had to warm the car up for a while this morning (not the S). GF had the ice scraper in her car. Worked for about 4 hours this afternoon, not much business done though. No power loss to speak, just the direct TV is out.

Stay safe out there!

No problems here. I was hoping to see some snow, since I haven't seen snow in nine years. The ice was a nice change of pace though, since I hadn't seen an ice sickle in nine years either.

A LOT of rain here on the coast and warmer than ususal. We'll see freezing temps tonight though.

The weekend is shaping up to be decent. Maybe I'll take my baby out for a short spin. It'll be the first time in almost a month.

Snow??? You ain't missing much. That's one of the biggest reasons my GF and I got the heck outta NY. We get to fly back up for the holidays though. Can't wait.

Ugh - I spent the whole day driving in it, starting from Asheville where the roads were basically glazed over. I made it all the way to Raleigh before going back west - what a crappie day to drive... and no, the S did not see any action - I'm not crazy!

Finally go the power back on about an hour ago. It went out at 4:30pm yesterday. I can't tell you how many times I flipped on the "non-functioning" light switches. It was 57 degrees inside this morning.... brrrrr. I made coffee using the propane burner on the gas grill. Ah, the good old days before electricity (who said they miss them?)
