Default Insane F1 Video

this is an in-the-cockpit shot of Felipe Massa (Ferrari--red) dicing with Robert
Kubica (BMW--white) in the rain in the Grand Prix of Japan, 2007. It looks like NASCAR bumper cars -- in the rain at 150 mph!

Video

There's a video link of the lap (the one you posted was a gmail link so it didnt work for me). During the live race, they showed the final two or three corners of the battle. Being able to see pretty much the whole last lap is awesome though. Heck, that whole race was insane to watch (apart from the first half of it behind the pace car).

If that had been me driving, my pants would've been wet! And not just because of the rain water...

Crazy Video!

Wow, wheel to wheel racing in F1? Amazing! Plus, that was insane how they were going back and forth!

Its the second one Raul, though most of them probably dont even think they can die (until they make it into their mid-late 30's, then they suddenly realize they're on borrowed time as it is). The size of most of the drivers ego's helps protect them from any serious crashes too. . .

Didn't Kubica have that horrible crash a while ago? Maybe he thinks he's invincible now.

Yup, Kubica in Montreal this year. That crash, I think, really showed how great the safety systems are in those cars and probably helped inspire confidence in some of the drivers. The whole car fell apart (his feet were dangling out of the front) and he had a minor concussion and a sprained ankle I think. He wanted to race the next week at Indy but the doctors didnt want to take any chances since he was coming off that concussion.

Hamilton and Kimi both had pretty big accidents later in the year too and apart from being slightly shaken up, no problems to speak of (apart from a wrecked F1 car).
