I do. All the tools needed........but you should drop your car off the night before.(or get here real early) You can't adjust valves on a warm engine. It has to be stone cold!

I never have gone back in after a "Pro" adjusted the valves to get the "feel" of it but I think I got it.

Thinking of doing this March 21st? 3rd Saturday in the month so Cars & Coffee should be running that day in Raleigh.

If people want to cook out I can supply the grill and some soda. Would have to coordinate food for those that are coming. Otherwise we could just do a quick lunch then come back this way for the actual Tech Day. We could work till ~5:30 outside and inside the garage after that.

What would people be interested in doing?

Brett your car would need to sit for a full 8 hours before we did a valve adjustment. I could lend you the tools if you wanted to do this at your house. I already did mine.

If my S is still in my possession, I'll probably need to install a new soft top. Who's up for that? *crickets*

In all seriousness if you would be willing to pay for install by a Pro and we get another person to join you in a soft top install we might have a S2K professional installer at this meet. He was just up in Wake Forest this past weekend. Having a couple installs would make it worth while to be at the meet.

Oh and on a side note I have a Bore Scope to peek into your cylinders. I just did this to check out my engine again and it looks the same as it did when I first put it in......including a single 3/4 long scrape up the side of cylinder #1. Nothing I can really do about it.

Might be interesting for those with higher mileages to see down inside. I only saw mine after "it went bad". This can also assure that your spark plugs are torqued correctly too.

BUMP!

Any other interest? I know there are some around that don't check here so I will probably hit something up on the Facebook site and possibly over on "the other forum".

Would like to see some more people here. Hopefully I get all my stuff back together before then. Have a new shop toy that I have to put together. I think with the amount of tools I have I just about could just about open up my own shop here!

I'm planning to go to Cars and Coffee. I'd be glad to hang out and lend a hand where I can. I think I remember my way around most of the basics when it comes to S2000s.

I have a low profile jack and 4 stands I am willing to bring, too.

That's great. Would be glad to have you. Will send a PM with my address.

Sadly I found out last night I don't have the right sized sockets as "pushers" for the bushings that need to come out.

So I will sadly continue my trek and get some sockets and hit up the local AutoZone for a bearing puller kit to see what sizes that kit comes with so I can do a quick rental/return.

Luckily I have a meeting on Thursday Night in Fayetteville so I can hit the Harbor Freight down there to get what I need.(phew)
