Default Just Back From the Mediterranian...

What a fantastic time we had. Our ten day cruise on the Grand Princess couldn't have been better. I'll start with some pics of the ship.

Pool number one.

Pool number two...(there were FOUR pools )

Where I spent a lot of time.

The running track.

The casino.

At night.

Naples and the Amalfi Coast where we took a SPECTACULAR drive along the coast.

The road rivaled the Dragon in places.

Guess what we saw wedged between our bus and the mountain...

Then to the ancient city of Ephesus.

This is the road that went from the city center to the sea and is the road that Anthony and Cleopatra walked on. It was cool to stroll down this road with MyBride and imagine what Anthony and Cleopatra were thinking.

Then it was on to Athens and the Acropolis.

The best was saved for last...Venice. We sailed into Venice at 1:00 PM and went to the ship's highest deck. From 15 stories up we could see over the entire city. This is something I'll never forget.

Of course, we HAD to take an evening gondolla ride. A gondolleir sang romantic Italian songs accompanied by an accordian and the sounds of water lapping at the sides of the boat. Oh, and the bubbles of champaign.
