I heard a strange sounding aircraft flying over work this afternoon. Since I work at Michelin in Greenville, this attracted a lot of attention. They do it once every 10 years or so -- the pilots must have been laughing their a$$ses off.

 

where's the flying michelin man balloon? Fly THAT over Goodyear's hq in Akron!

 

When they were right overhead, the idled the engines and let the blimp settle vertically from about 1000' to 500'. Pretty skilled flying.

 

That's actually wildly clever!! Big to Goodyear...even if I prefer Bridgestone and Michelin over Goodyear...

 

wish i could have seen it! would have been cool.
