This sounds like something I might be interested in doing myself.

If you check the European oil jet bolt service bulletin you'll see that changing the oil jet bolts on NFR cars isn't necessary.

Their drivers are too slow for it to matter.

aw, aside from the joke about NFR car owners, this is something I've been trying to read up a bit about as well - def. something I"m considering once I get all the "usual" stuff taken care of (just making sure reg. maint. and stuffs)

would mightily appreciate your help/input if/when I come around to doing this

Gladly. The bolts are less than $50.00.

Maybe we could have a 3-day tech meet in Charlotte over the holidays. Say, between Christmas and New Years?

Oh, and you'll have to have a lift.

I'm planning on being in the UK around that time, though if I'm not - I'm surely up for a 3-day tech meet thing - though I don't have a lift

So do I understand correctly that I can buy everything I need for this upgrade from HTG for $50 or so...?
Just really, really need someone/where with a lift to do this the easiest, most proper way...
Heck, I'll be honest... I don't think I'm very confident/knowledgeable about this particularly to do this myself but would be down for a tech day on this...
Sounds like from what you're saying Phil, this should be a two day job for everything to drain out on the first day and set back up properly the next right...?

Friday afternoon: oil drain-down overnight

Saturday morning: drop oil pan, remove old bolts, install new bolts, apply new gasket material to oil pan and reinstall oil pan. Let gasket material cure 12 hours (overnight).

Sunday: Install oil and check for leaks, rods shooting through the head, etc.

You can do it without a lift but its a royal PITA.

'Tis very true... Not to worry though as it has been sold and I really couldn't have afforded the truck anyways, it was just a mind blowing experience for me... Waaaaaaaay to costly in just fuel alone, not to mention monthly payments and general maint. and the like...

I'm here for the long haul folks as I truly, thoroughly have enjoyed meeting each of you and hanging out... Truly a top-notch, classy organization we have going on here and I'm very proud and honored to be a member of it...

BTW Raul, had a chance to check out the headlight mods Mulder and I accomplished this past w/e???

Well guys, I believe the truck has been sold already as I did not see it on the lot once today...
Oh well, it would have been a $$$ pit I know...
Hell, I made it back from Charlotte to Asheboro last night with 4 bars on the gas gauge and still had roughly a gallon and a half left when I filled up in Asheboro last night... Can't argue with that mileage one bit!!!

Hey My Bad, please refresh my memory once again on that banjo bolt(s) upgrade on the early MY's... I remember a little bit about what you said and its benefits... I'm think'n of upgrading ASAP with a lil' more info... Thanx...
One of my co worker just test drove one at Car Max this week. I think he mentioned $26,000.
