The LS6 I purchased is a LS1 with
-better cylinders heads,
-larger camshaft,
-better-flowing intake manifold,
-bump in compression,
-stronger main bearing bulkheads.
-the LS6 head design features a raised port floor
-smoother transition at the short-turn radius for improved flow.
- exhaust ports were also altered from an oval to a D-shaped design.
It's only found in a 02-04 z06 or cts-v

I plan on running my stock ap2 diff until blows and then upgrading to a osG ap2 diff.

You will end up needing to swap the diff and axles. They won't take the power.
The LS1 I had in mine had a mild build and made somewhere in the neighborhood of 425hp and 425tq.

It's a good set up. What is your plan for the car?

We should talk. For it to be remotely fast in XP you are going to need more wheel and tire. You will have to gut the crap out of it too. Your minimum weight will be 2278lbs and you will have a hard time getting to that. I have 3 years of working toward a V8 XP S2K behind me and lots of trial and error. I took mine to Dixie and that's where I spun a rob bearing but it did pretty well. Jason Colett and I talked about his set up and mine for a long time working out a plan.

ruut - Pretty sure my friend Adam Schoonmaker sent me a picture of your car at Dixie and said he spoke to you for a bit. He was co-driving an SSR Z06 with his dad. I was wondering if that was you from your Facebook pictures.
