So, I was planning Christmas gifts for all my S2K friends and went back in the workshop to create something fun and uniquely Carolinas.
I thought, "Snowglobe!"
I took apart a burned out theater light for the globe and turned a wooden base for it. Got some mineral oil and crushed egg shells (I hate the glitter-globes, don't you?) and then looked for inspiration for the contents.
Here's where I ran into trouble. These were going to be snow globes that said something about who we are as a community. Something that _anyone_ would recognize as iconic to the Carolinas group. But I'm afraid it looks too much like a scene from Hannibal Lecter.
Uh, wow, uh, oh my, um, donate mine to your favorite charity....yes that's it, a good cause. Hmmm, can you donate a good cause to a good cause? Do two causes wash themselves out? Wow, I guess I need to bounce over to the Dear Ron column to get some guidance.
