Exceptional looking S2K...
And even if you do have to 'de-mod' your car for inspection reasons here, you WILL NOT regret the fine folks you'll meet in the Carolinas... Welcome friend...

Why your car won't pass inspection.

Your title is a little misleading.

Moving from NY to Wilmy is a move UP!

Look forward to meeting you.

I am also a former New Yorker (Syracuse) that made the move UP to NC and am loving it.

Welcome to the Carolinas!

The other peeps on this forum are all envious of the guys who live in Wilmy. We live in paradise and our cars go faster.

Be sure to look me up when you get settled in. We'll help you get rid of that nasty turbo and back to breathing naturally aspirated fresh air.
Geez...some people... Xclusive...big word of advice... watch your KNOB in Wilmington!

Thanks for all of the kind words, I look forward to meeting everyone. From my few trips down to SC/NC I noticed almost immediately how nice most people are. Coming from NY it was kind of strange at first since if you walk down the street over here and say hello to someone that you don't know, they will look at you like you're a mass murderer or something. I'm looking forward to the change though, I guess its a small price to pay for not being able to get my car inspected.

Only Raul does that down here, you know with him being a site moderator and all. Oh, sorry Raul, he likes it when we capitalize it for him. SITE MODERATOR!!!!!!

ALL HALE KING RAUL!!!

BTW: NC is not the only inspection. Raul must test drive and inspect any and all Silver S2000 that come into the state and you must sacrifice 1 part to him as a gift!

Here in Pender County the inspection doesn't include the emissions test. At least is didn't this past May when we had the inspection. Only looked at the tires, lights, signals, horn etc. Guess it's a plus for living in a more rural county. We're in Hampstead just north of Wilmy on US 17.

Welcome to NC. Great local group of owners here.

Hmmm... that is pretty interesting, but would I be able to get my car inspected in pender county if I live in Brunswick? BTW, I think that's great that you have your S2K parked next to two tractors, I guess you weren't kidding when you said its a little more rural.
