Thumbs down my baby died

So 2 days before christmas leave my timing chain breaks on me causing all head motion to stop and valve distruction. Damage cost is already into the 1k area. Looks like ill have it towed back on post and let it sit till 2 weeks out for deployment then send her to C.A.M. wadzii thanks for intoducing me to that amazing place. Time for me to buy a bicycle and use that for a bit

I have not heard of any timing chain failures. Are you sure it was the timing chain or maybe something else that also broke the chain?

Either way sorry about the motor. Good luck.

Yup it is the timing chain that broke saw it with my own eyes. I didn't think I was going to be able to make it home for christmas

Yea, that sounds way early for a TC failure. I had some valves replaced at 100k and they said the chain was perfect and saw no need to replace it. And that was a dealer. That engine was running a Comptech SC and I put another 67 k on it before the bearings gave out.

I'd also be surprised if it's only 1k to fix it. You could be looking at new pistons.
