I live in wilmington and am coming back home to hickory for a while. I was wondering if anyone knows of some really good roads in asheville, boone, or anywhere really.

I do. We could ride up Hwy 321 toward Lenoir, then get off on hwy 181 up to Blowing Rock and Boone. I volunteered myself to head up one of these drives here recently so let me know when (preferably on the weekend) and we'll make it happen.

 

Not sure how far past Asheville the Dragon is, im sure not more than an hour or so. But you could head there for some pre-Wake The Dragon action. That road has more curves than you can shake a stick at, just be careful and dont cross the double yellow if you go.

The 19th or the 26th both work for me.

We could meet at 9:00 am in Hickory. Grab a quick bite to eat and then drive up to Boone/Blowing Rock. It takes less than an hour to make it to Boone from
Hickory.

We could spend the day driving on the parkway, shopping,
checking out Grand Father Mountain or hiking the ski slopes.

Anything would truly be okay with me. I'm just throwing things out there.
We could even take the parkway to Aheville from Boone and end up at the
Biltmore Estate.

Does anyone else have any suggestions?

 

Dang, I would totally be up for something in the Boone/Blowing Rock area but neither date works for me. If you guys did something in the area on a date I am free I would be there for sure (for future reference)...
