I have 4 tires with OEM AP1 rims that can sell to you for cheap.

Front - Sumitomo HTR Z's (summer).
Rear - Sumitomo HTR +'s (all season).

Not to screw up a sale, but I would absolutely recommend NOT running different tires rear/front on the S2000. Especially this configuration, all seasons on the rear with summer tires up front.

if you absolutely must run different tires front/back, you want to run stickier tires in the back.

in answer to your question, the bridgestone RE960AS is a good tire, i ran it for a while.

That is a good recomendation. The truth is I bougth them like that (I was thinking of putting track tires on but I never got to it).

I used them for about 4 months withouth a problem, but I did drove the car like a grandpa. I was aware of the situation.

Due to the tires TW rating and design, the car would behave very differently with temp changes. When warm (> 60 deg.) very minor oversteer could be easily induced due to better traction at the front. Now, in colder temperatures (< 55 deg.) the car would understeer more than usual and braking distances were noticeably reduced.

So, dont feel bad for stating the obvious truth.
