You can do what i did. Take the tint off yourself. Then go to the police station and an officer will come outside and look at your car and see that the tint has been removed. He will give you a letter to take with you to court and give to the DA which says the tint had been removed and that it had been verified by an officer. If you have the letter the DA will drop the ticket and you will pay nothing out of pocket in fines. They will dismiss it and your all good to go. After you get the letter from the officer, you dont have to wait to go to court. Just get the letter from the police station and go home and put the tint right back on. Unless of course you payed someone else to do it, then your out several hundred either way if you pay the ticket or remove and reinstall the tint.

I paid for the tint, so I would like to find a shop that is "tint-friendly." Tinting the RSX is bitch with that rear hatch...

Oh an RSX ok yeah i would pay someone to do that too. S2000 side windows are really easy but anything else is a PITA. Well legal for the state is in the 30-35% range i believe. Maybe your legal and can get passed or may have to find a shop to help you out.

20%, definitely not legal, but still light enough that you can see through, I was very surprised when he stopped me for my tint...

I was on the interstate heading toward Wilmington.

Where are you located? I know one around Charlotte, but it sounds like you are down towards the coast.

Between Raleigh and Wilmington.

Charlotte is a bit further than I want to travel.

Honestly, I may just pull it off... I hate driving the car at night without the tint because truck lights are generally right at eye level, which leaves me blind.

Bad thing about it is that the cop pretty much told me that legal tint is useless and he only busted me because it is a law; which I can almost understand, except that I've never heard of anyone getting pulled just for tint.

What he meant to say was that he is a cock-bag and he only busted you because your ability to afford a nice car plunged him further into depression so to fill his void of a life with twisted pleasure he abuses his only smidgen of false power over the general public in an attempt to demean you.

Or he could of just been having a bad day.
