Default New rotors and pads.

I'm looking into buying some new rotors and pads. I've found that there are so many combo's to use. Does anyone have any input on some that are available? I'm not trying to spend a ton of cash on these, just something to work well and look better than OEM, imo. Also, when I first install these, I want to take whatever measures I need to, to combat rusting of the rotors, so any advice would be wonderful as well. Thanks.

OEM pads and rotors are the best bang for the buck on a street car.

Ask yourself if you really need rotors. I've gone through 3 sets of stock pads on oem rotors, they don't tend to wear.

On the other hand, if you go aftermarket, you will probably have to replace the rotors each and every time you replace pads.

Where would the best place be to get the OEM rotors and pads other than Honda? If there is any other place. I know they're gonna charge me out the ass for them.

I have a set of all four rotors I took off my car when I had like 2,500-3,000 miles on it. I changed them to powerslots because when I got new wheels, I wanted some nicer looking rotors behind them. If you want them, you can have them for $120 for all four. I guarantee they aren't warped and your pedal will not pulsate. Let me know if you want them. Here's some pics.

Gavin,

I tend to agree that the stock rotors are plenty utilitarian.

If you buy new ones, then before you install them...I would take the time to paint the hub area, as well as the edges and fins. A couple of times on the brakes and any rusty area under the pads will be clean, but if you have painted the hub area, edges and inner rim, then you don't have to look at ugly rust (on those areas) all of the time.

At the same time...grind down the casting lines on the rotors and paint them as well...then you will have a pretty neat appearing set-up .
