Pinehurst Pics and Storyline. . .
It certainly was a Beautiful Day at Pinehurst! What an amazing place. When I turned my S2000 onto Carolina Vista Drive and caught the shimmer of sunlight reflecting from the brilliant copper roofing, I smiled. I had arrived.
Yeah, I know, some of youa re saying, sure airgate, you arrived, LATE!
However, I was at the Carolina Hotel around 11am to confirm our reservation. I just had to get my baby cleaned up for all the picture taking.
So, I wanted to share my pics from Pinehurst. I had a fantastic time. Meeting up with friends and talking about anything and everything was refreshing cool after some hectic time at work, thanks for that!
We begin in the elegant setting of the Carolina Dining Room. The main table, the cool table.

Let us not forget the 2nd table. The "MENU PLEASE" table. Kidding.

One of the big 'ole decks on the Carolina Hotel.

Even the timepieces at Pinehurst are classic.

The Mercedes SL500 created a bit of interest. The Mercedes-Benz Champion Event was taking place at Pinehurst over the weekend. So the grounds were riddled with Mercedes, not a bad thing, by any account.

A great shot of VFROOOM's S2000 and radred's S2000 in front of the Carolina Hotel.

Now, a shot all together.

That desired lake shot.

Time for a rest after a great spirited run!

An unintended shot proves to be a good picture. From left to right, radred, cashout, MyBad and myself. Oh yeah, and Portland in the middle.

And then that Z06 Vette passed while were taking a break.

At the Botanical Gardens, a circle of friends.

On to the Classic Museum where Unforgiven met up with us.

Some random shots of the Classics.

What a fender. . .

Reignman wonders. . .will a turbo fit in here?

The headlamps that turn when you turn the wheel. Quite cool.

Check out the itsy-bitsy Bimmer.

Factory Built Cobra replica.

Little refreshing Sprite, please.

Unforgiven and I make it back to Pinehurst for a final shot in front of the Carolina Hotel.

After saying goodbye to Unforgiven, I headed into the Carolina Hotel to buy some souvenirs. A nice t-shirt for Anna and a coffee mug set me back nearly $50.
But the shot in front of the Spa was worth it.

And then would you look at what I found. An E55 all by it's lonesome. Part of the Mercedes display pack. And a cool $76k.

So, that's it. What a blast!

Thanks again everyone! Your attendance made this Meet, Eat and Drive a success.

Excuse my ignorance, but where is this Pinehurst place? I've never heard of it but it looks really nice. Might be somewhere I'd like to take my girlfriend on a trip. How far would it be from Greenville, SC?
