Default Q's about some installs

Ok heres the deal. I have a VAFC 2 that I'm going to install soon. I was wondering which is better for the install, a wiring harness or splicing it into the ECU. I know which one's the quickest and easiest(harness), but I don't know where to get one. I would like to intall this soon, and thinking about not using a harness, but that kinda problems might I run into other than warrenty problems?

As far as the exhaust question, I bought a used Invidia exhaust this week, pretty good deal I thought. Great condition and $340 shipped!! How hard is it to install one of these? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated, and if there is anyone local who would like to come by and lend a hand I would love it. Thanks and have a nice day

The exhaust should be pretty easy. Can't speak for the VAFC.

I would definitely recommend a harness for your VAFC. Here's why:
-Easier install
-No wires to splice
-Easier to remove if you decide to sell your car or change your fuel controller
-Cleaner install

For harnesses, you can either get the Frog harness or the Boomslang. I got the Frog when I bought my VAFC used

matt, get the harness.....It's SUCH a pain in the ass to splice it and then try to reconnect all the wires when you remove it. and you WILL remove it one day.

The exhaust its pretty simple...Its a lot easier when you put some type of lubricant on the hangers...IMHO get the Harness for the VAFC...you're prolly going to lose about 1-2" of the Foot rest but its WAY easier to install and Uninstall....to install it takes about 5 min max...

Matt, good thing we already got those bolts busted loose on your exhaust. It should make putting it on ALOTeasier for you! Get the harness, you dont want to go splicing ECU wires.

Thanks for the input, I didn't think the exhaust was going to be that hard. I do have one question to ask though. Does the exhaust go over the rear end of the car? I can't remember the last time I was under there.

As for the Harness I think I will go ahead and get it because it wil prevent any problems in the future

Yea, from what I remember you will have to put the exhaust in from the rear of the car as it goes in between various things. Shouldnt be difficult.

The harness will make things SO much easier, you might want to put a WTB out for one, can probably get one cheap.

If you're close to Wilmington I know where there's a lift we can use to change your exhaust!!
