Default Question about Myrtle Beach.

I was thinking about going down to Myrtle this weekend, and heard from others that it is a bad weekend to go. Is this true? I know that the rates for hotels is sky high this weekend, but I would love to head down there. Can anyone reccomend a nice hotel? Maybe one that you have been to before that you liked. Thanks for any help!

Greg

P.S. If Myrtle is a bad idea, what would be another nice place to go for the weekend that is relatively close to Charlotte?

Other options: Wrightsville Beach, Sunset Beach, Cherry Grove, Charleston, and Hilton Head

If you stick with Myrtle Beach I usually stay at the Breakers Hotel on Ocean Blvd and 16th Ave.

Do not go to Myrtle Beach on Memorial weekend! Trust me. People that live in Myrtle Beach leave and board up their houses. I am not kidding.

I agree, stay away. You should come to one of our local beaches down here, either Isle of Palms or Folley Beach. Great beaches, less crowded, downtown Charleston very close by, and less of a chance of you getting killed

If you end up on the Isle of Palms, I might see you there. I am hanging out there pretty much every weekend I am in town...

Itll be a mad house down there, and you would need to leave 3 hours ahead of time when eating because thats how long it will take you to get there and get a seat. Next weekend would be better IMHO.
