Recommendations on Exhaust
First, no one is allowed to say "I told you so," because last spring a few of you did tell me I would get tired of how loud my Invidia is. I don't mind the drone, or the sound at all when top is up, but top down now it SCREAMS and I want to go to something deeper. But here are the caveats:
1: I am going to run a PLM Header and test pipe, no buts about it, I want the added power
2: I don't want to break the bank, I can do this and get away with it if I spend around $600-800.
3: Has to look pretty good. I prefer a dual setup, but I'm open to singles
I have been looking at the HKS Hi-Power. I know a lot of people like it and it looks like a nice exhaust. It isn't cheap though. Anyone have some input? If I could find someone local to swap for my invidia, I would really like that.

Comptech FTW! Nice growl to it. Even at 9K it doesn't sound ricetastic and raspy. My girlfriend even threatened to break up with me if I took it off the car, it sounds that good! LOL

id say have a custom exhaust built.. 3inch with a vibrant super quiet resonator and 2 vibrant mufflers.
I had that setup on my old civic (obviously with only one muffler) and it sounded good, no drone and wasnt loud at all.
I'm pretty sure you can make the stock tips work on the vibrant flat black mufflers.

I have heard great things about the CT engineering one too, but it's $1,000!

I, too, love the Comptech system, and want one badly. The trouble is, as far as I can tell, it has piping that's on the small side. I've been researching exhausts a lot lately, and from what I've read, the ones that actually make some power are the 70mm ones. Like the Greddy Spectrum Elite and the T1R 70-EM, and I'm sure there are others. If the Comptech was a 70mm, I'd already have one. Those things sound amazing, look great, and work with my trailer hitch.
I'm happy to be told that I've gone wrong on my research though. The very notion of spending $1000, or more, on a freaking exhaust, gives me chills.
