Default replacing soft top

When I replace my soft top which will be here in the next year or so, I woudl like to upgrade to a glass rear window. How hard is it to wire the defroster? Is there any other problems I might run into along the way?

Be prepaired for ALOT of work. You will need all new rivets (hang up trying to find stock size rivets too, you'll have to go just a tad larger. Also, your interior must come out (minus the doors and dash). Go ahead and replace all of the elastic straps with new wider ones, and make sure that the rain rail is reassembled properly. Its also a good time to make sure your draines on eigther side are free of debris. and the biggest thing , make sure you know what screws go where. Reassembling the rear tray can get tricky, and there IS an order to it.

I've heard it's a major pain. Just upgrade your whole car, get a 2002 - 2004.

I did mine a month ago.

I believe that the price from honda was about 3k I will do it for less than half which includes the top and labor... and I mean LABOR.

If you need to see my work it is in the junk yard thanks to a 16 year old kid who cut in front of me a week after I installed my top.... CAR IS TOTALED very sad

Let me know if you have any questions

Me and my dad did mine over christmas break. A lot of work, I didnt think it was too bad, the rivets were sometimes a pain. But well worth the money saved doing it myself. And the look of the new top afterwards was great and the glass window is awesome.

if it is the first time and you have all the things needed and you do not have to make trips to the parts store it should take at least 8-12 hr

if it is your second time around ...

under 8

having done it ... I know why honda charges 1300 or more
