Hi All,

I wanted to reach out and see if anybody has experience installing convertible tops. I'm currently in the process of installing a Rpbbins cloth top and have ran into a few issues.

Basically, I cannot close the top. The front of the top, where it meets the front weatherstrip, has a 1 inch gap. I have gotten the top to the point where it aligns vertically, but the gap is still there. I have loosened the rear metal strip for the rain channel to give the top a bit more flexibility, but it will still not reach. Otherwise the fitment looks perfect.

Any ideas?. I have had the top sitting in an upright position for nearly 3 days (inside a garage). Should I just sit the car out in the sun?

I am WillyP and I'm in Cary NC. I have a 2000 model S2K with the original top. I need a new top and an installer in the Triangle area. Can someone recommend one who can handle this competently at a reasonable price.

I have a Robbins Canvas top on my 03. Installed by T Phong. Very satisfied with the \quality of the product and the install. he is not located in the triangle area however. he is located in Florence SC but it would be worth the trip.

Another bump for Toyo! He did an amazing job on my 06 when the top was slashed. Even cleaned up after himself and when I asked he was able to have the job done while I was at work on a Saturday afternoon. A+++ Robbins 2520 black cloth top.
