hey guys and gals this sunday happens to be street wars at rockingham if you dont already know its a 1/4 mile drag strip in rockingham nc its about 2 hrs from raleigh down US1 toward sanford. Phantasam is hosting it. i went last year it was suposto rain so i didnt take my S and it wasent a huge turn out but the cars that were their were nice. so im wondering if anybody would like to go down. im going for sure and so is the S this time i know this isent what our cars are for but if you havent raced on a strip i think youd enjoy it. i know some will bash dragging a car built for road courses but i dont mind i enjoy it and im a dedicated VIR guy with a car built for circuits. Anyway ill be going down with a buddy in his bagged S10 and my to close friends one of them owns 2 nice vipers a 99 comp coupe ACR. our other buddy will be driving and hes driving his newer 08 viper ACR thats a nasty car!! we did 168MPH on the back straight at VIR and braked a 2nd to last cone and hitting a full 1.5+Gs decelling. so it should be a fun day if you guys wana go just let me know and ill get a list going and well meet up and caravan down.

Too many slow cars at the track at those events. At least when I used to go. If you want to race it is normally not a great day as too many cars in street tires to have great track prep.

 

^^^yeah i understand that but were not going to get great times its just fun thell be cool cars to look at and fun stuff to watch its all about having fun and the atmosphere.

I would go in a heartbeat man but I have Air Guard duty this Saturday/Sunday in Charlotte.

1.5Gs is crazy for a car, I went up in a 2 seater F16 in Arizona so I understand how much G's can be fun, and suck at the same time

BTW I got up to 6 Gs on a full circle loop and nearly passed out with a G suit on

yeah that sux logan you cant come but no biggie maybe the sunday after you can head up to dunn benson strip with me and my buddy with the S10 their having another car show their and will be running on the track only 10 bucks so ill be playing around. i wana see if my bolt ons has made any difference. just got back a few mins ago from test and tune it was packed and i gained a tenth from exhaust and my clutch slipped a lil
