Looking to Sell my S.

It is a 2001 S Silverstone with Black Interior.
No major problems -- typical wear.
Small scratch on the driver's door and a ding on the trunk.
I can sell either with or without aftermarket stereo. (Have a sub and JL XRs in the door).
Prewired Passport 8500 comes with it -- I won't need it anymore.
Have all maintenance records. Kuhmo's for tires. Rear Spoiler included.

I would like $28.9K for it -- I think that is reasonable.
Saw one at CarMax yesterday for 29.5 w/o spoiler or stereo. It had 8K miles.

Why are you selling your S? Replacing it with anything?

I think the price you are asking is too high but hopefully you can get what you're asking. I've seen S2000's with less mileage for less money.

I'm just tired of 'Payin the Man' the high insurance premiums.
I will take the stereo and radar detector out and sell for $27,500.

I think part of the declining value of '00 - '01 is that the effective price of new S2Ks has come down. I remember in late '00 I saw a USED one on a dealer's lot priced at $35K. The dealers were tacking premiums over sticker because of demand.

I bought mine new this past Labor Day for no discount, but nothing over sticker either. So a brand new '02 was $32K.
