Default Sad day selling the S2k

Unfortunatly, I am having to sell my S2000. My job just announced a mass layoff of which I am a part. I need to be rid of my payments for my S2000. It is a sad day as I love this car with all my heart. Below you will find my posting that I have put up on craigslist and the SCCA forums. Thank you.

For sale 02 Honda S2000, Suzuka Blue in color with a full blue leather interior. The car has been treated with love and respect since it was purchased in 08. Car has ~84k miles on body, the engine and clutch were replaced ~15k miles ago (used engine that was put in had less miles on it than original), clutch was a new Exedy clutch (same brand that came with the car originally). Car has no mechanical issues, interior is in amazing condition. Car was used as a daily driver and an auto-cross car. Car currently has a few performance modifications that will be listed below. Owner has all OEM parts in case purchaser would prefer the car be converted back to stock. Car is being sold with two sets of wheels/tires and two spare tires for the 17 inch wheels. The original set of 16’ wheels have plenty of tread on the front tires, rear tires would need replacement. Car currently has on it a staggered set of XXR 518 wheels, 17X7 front and 17X8 rear, they are gold in color. Tires currently on the 17’s are Nexen 3000’s (Good mix between performance and tire life) and both front and rear tires have more than ¾ of their tread left. Paint is in great condition. Soft top is in full working condition, has tiny cut (about as long as the first joint of a finger) but it does not leak. Door speakers were replaced with 3 channel Pioneer speakers. Car has had engine oil replaced every 3k miles with either Mobile 1 or Valvoleen full synthetic 10W30 oil. Car’s transmission and differential fluids have been replaced every 10k miles using Honda manual transmission fluid and Mobile 1 fully synthetic differential fluid. Performance mods are as follows:

AEM short ram intake.
17 inch wheels/tires.
Tanabe front strut tower brace.
Ebay exhaust header (copy of a Megan racing header) that has been heat-wrapped with a Thermo-Tech heat-wrap.
Ebay high speed catalytic converter (with 02 sensor fix)
Drilled/slotted brake rotors with Posi-Quiet ceramic brake pads.
Custom alignment done by Midas (Front camber at -1.4, rear camber -1.9, stock caster and toe)

Asking for $10,000.00 OBO for an amazing car, the only reason it is being sold is because I just got a new car and need to get rid of payments on this. Serious offers only. No trades will be considered. Please email me with any questions and title the email as “Car question” “Serious car offer” or something equally as informative.

Where are you located? Pictures? Do you have the stock parts?

I have a friend who might be interested. He is looking for an S in this price range but I know he is going to want the stock parts over the aftermarket parts.

Sorry about loss man. I still remember when I saw you on I-20 on the way to the Auto-X and at the Auto-X in April 08. It's a shame your getting rid of it!

Btw, the OP's in Cola.

Yes I do still have all the stock parts but the brake rotors (old ones were worn down beyond saving). Other than that, I have all of the stock parts, only things that would have to be switched back are wheels/tires, header, intake, and cat. I am in Columbia about 15 mins from downtown off of Piney Grove Rd. I have plenty of pictures and urge anyone interested to let me know. I am going to be completely honest with anyone wanting to buy the car, not trying to rip anyone off. If you shoot me an email and let me know what you'd like pictures of on the car I will get them to you within a day or two.

Thanks!

Daniel
