What's the difference, besides engine, between this and the Solstice?

Nothing the Sky and Solstice are twins as are the Sky Red Line and the Solsitce GXP. Design is the only true difference.

hadn't been keeping up with the sky much. I had hoped it would use the same targa style as the Vauxhall VX220 but I see they have gone with the same retarded roof as the Solstice. I think that would have been a nice difference between the two, instead they choose to make them the same car. Too bad, the targa would have been hot...

That targa is the result of the Vauxhall being a rebodied Elise. Had GM done what they said they were going to do in the begining and made the Sky a version of the Speedster/Elise... I would be tempted to take one. But looking at the current situation of GM, it would have had to have been eigther the Kappa platform for these two or the Elise platform, not both. Ahh the things that could have been.......

there has been a yellow sky sitting at the dealership in Spartanburg on Reidville road for almost 4 weeks now. Plenty of gawkers but no biters. They are selling it at MSRP. I did not test drive it since they were not allowing any when it first came out. I did sit in one and damn, it was snug. The S2000 is much roomer. My wife was not comfortable in it at all. I asked the salesman when the Sky Redline was going to come out and he looked at me kinda funny and said what? I explained to him what it was and he lauighed at such idea. That was my cue to leave the dealership since I was talking to a moron. Again, it looks great and I would prefer this over the Pontiac Solstice. What is interesting though is my sister who is 19 and attending college. I told her about it and she was like a Saturn? Are you kidding! That is sooo lame. Now, the Solstice is HOT she says. I guess Saturn has a lot of work ahead of them to branch out their brand to a "sports" car market. I have not seen a blip of advertising yet for the Sky here at all. I have seen plenty of the Solstice and the damn annoying Ford Mustang commercial with the rock group lead singer screaming BEEP BEEP! Grrrr.
