well i got up this morning at 7 and was in the surf by 8. I had the time of my life on solid 6ft swells with some peeking 7-8ft. The current was horrid and the swells were huge and choppy but i put it all behind me as my girlfriend and I proceeded to have fun playing around. well tonight (7) we were woken up to the truth of this high risk hobbie we love so much. 1/4mile from Bogue Inlet peir, 2 blocks from where we surf, a board was found with a broken leash. They have been looking for the guy since 7. Pedro, Coast Guard, and EI Rescue have all been searching into the night with no sign. Say a prayer and hope that he/she is either found or at a peaceful rest. Sometimes we take things for granted.

 

I got chills, Hope they find'em. Any word yet.
