Default Screen Name Change Imminent!

Just accepted a job offer with a major employer in Wilmington. Have been talking to the future employer since the last week in May, formal interview held in August, verbal offer mid-October. Big companies just don't move very fast when it comes to the hiring process I suppose.

Will be moving there as soon as arrangements can be made to sell our home in Daytona.

Welcome any suggestions for preferred areas to start the search for a new home. Job location is just a few miles north of the airport.

Also, seeking suggestions as to what the new screen name should be...

Looking forward to having the move behind us. So much to do before that happens though.

Don

Congrats on the new job. Look forward to meeting you. As far as house hunting, you might want to stay to the North side, traffic can be a bear around Wilmy at 8am & 5pm. There are a few new roads and bypasses being built on the north side that will help with congestion. Find a place close to them and try to stay away from the bottleneck intersection's like Oleander & College Rd. and you'll be fine.

What? Hurricanes in NC?

No problem! We've got plywood and a generator that we'll be bringing with us...

Welcome to Wilmy, Don! Its good to see a huricane veteran moving to the area.

I'll PM the name of a relocation specialist that I work with here. She's absolutely the best.

Great news! Let us know when you are settled in. We'll have a mini-meet in the Wilmington area.
