Honda Compact Car Service in Charlotte is the most down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced shop I have seen.

I am in Greensboro looking to have the retainers done as well. Thinking of tackling it myself after all the DIY's I have read. Crown has seemed frighteningly ignorant of S2000 workings every time I have taken my car up there. Let me know if you'd like to take a crack at it and we can maybe do a maintenance day or something to that effect.

I know this is a little late, but maybe helpful to someone else. Triad Auto in G-boro is the place for Honda/Acura work. I always took my cars there. They are knowledgeable, honest and fairly priced. Also, I did my own valve spring retainers. If you do them yourself get the right tool for your S2000, the Lisle 59550 Adjustable Overhead Valve Spring Compressor it is worth the money ~$60.
