Default Sick of Rain on The Weekend!

We have had what seems like a endless amount of weekend rain here in the triad of NC. I know the rain is good but I am so sick of not being able to take my car out and have some fun!

If you drive fast enough the rain won't even hit you...

j/k... We've just been getting real light mists of rain this weekend here in Columbia... I don't let that bother me much.

U are sooooooooo... right!!! Enuff of the wet stuff already. My car is the reigning queen of the garage I'm tempted to buy a big screen TV for the garage so I can sit in the car and watch it!

I took mine out today... had to... rain isn't going to stop me from having some fun.

Besides it is easier to spin the wheels this way. Gave the wife her first fish tailing (from a dead stop). She loved it.

JUST TAKE IT OUT AND DRIVE IT!

a. you can always wash it later (You know you will be washing
it anyway :-) )
b. there is less people on the road when it rains (that one
may not be completely true)
c. you gonna get an ear to ear grin even if it is hailing! :-)

We had a clear day today so I took half a day off work and ended up driving for about 7 hours! What great fun it was.

I just got my AEM CAI installed today also. I like the sound of it. It feels like it adds some HP at the VTEC crossover point but it just may be the sound.

For 230 bucks, it is a bargain though!

Man, 7 hours in the "S" . It was good to have a top down day, but "IT" is back today

What CAI did you install? I've been giving it some thought but unless the improved sound is that good I don't know if it is worth it? Do you have other mods?

Goldeneagle,

The AEM is the only Engine mod that I have although I have numerous non-performance mods.

I paid 230 for the AEM CAI with shipping included. It is worth every penny. The sound is fantastic and you can look at dyno after dyno showing a 7 - 10 hp gain right at the VTEC crossover point. About 4 points of torque increase on average. It may be more if the car was in a true windtunnel. I believe this to be a great bang for the bucks.

And even if there were no HP gain, I would still be thrilled. The engine gives a deep roar from around 5 - 6k and then a slightly higher pitched whine above 6k. You can hear an echo when you go under underpasses because of the sound.

Dean,

Thanks for the info. Are you in located in W/S? Maybe you would be kind enough to let me see your AEM set up. Take care and hope for dry weather
