Default Snow, Sore Knees And Marsupial Soup!

Went skiing for the first time last weekend. Boy that was fun!
True to my character (or as Joyce would say "True to your recklesness"), once
I mastered the snowplow and learned paralell turns I was off to the slopes with
my friends (Couple of germans who were born with skis)

I spent some quality time with the snow (in the snow, on the snow and stuck face first! )

but by the end of the second day I had turned pro and was already trying out for
the Colombian national team (They train with the Jamaicans :-))

On the way back we saw a lot of instant marsupial soup ( roadkill kangaroos) and almost made some of my own. Fortunately my co-pilot was awake and saw it before it got onto the road. A quick flick of the wrist and some previous experience with roadkill had us on the shoulder and away from the startled beast (jumping in all directions like a really bad frogger player :-( ).

I took some pictures of the soup but they turned out pretty gross and I deleted them.... not the sort of thing I wanted to expose Airgate to (Sorry buddy, next time... )

Way to go, Diego!

Keep the adventures, 'down-under', coming. I would have loved to seen you in action...especially the first day. That sounds a lot like my first experience, with skiing.

Did you use fold-up skis, or were they sticking out of the top of your SMART car?

Happy days!

They were rentals. Most people rent here since there are so few places to ski and the prices are pretty good.

We drove in a 92 Corolla Station Wagon.... talk about lack of torque!

Will post pictures once they enable the albums...

I tried uploading the pictures but it is telling me I have used up all my allocated space.

Surely 100s of track pictures wouldn't do that !

The question is: Which ones do I delete?

I never said it could not go fast!
It just took a while to get going (with 4 adults, suitcases and ski gear)....
