When I bought it, I was specifically looking for one without AWD. Some of the reasons were lighter weight, better acceleration, and better fuel economy.
Considering the AWD version drives and behaves like FWD for the most part in this car until slip is detected, I felt AWD wasn't necessary. Of course others have different needs, just pointing out why FWD was fine with me.
