Default Stock and Proud of it!

Hello Friends,

I am new to the forums and last month was my first Brier Creek car show that I went to. I noticed that most of the S2000's out there were modified one way or another. I have a totally stock (Besides the S Badges)S2000 and I like to keep it that way, and actually take pride in that. I was wondering if anyone else out there feels the way that I do? I didn't have any choice over the S badges put on mine as I am the second owner. I think that part of my pride comes from the fact that the first owner took great care of the car as well and left it the way that it was. It's a 2002 with a little over 33,000 miles on it, so they babied it to say the least.

nothing wrong with staying stock. it just makes it easier to sell. besides, the S is a beautiful car stock. as for moddified, like that to cause that shows what be done with the car. tastefully that is.

I got my S this summer, completely stock. I thought I was going to keep it that way for the longest time, just to appreciate the car in its purest form. Unfortunately, that didn't last very long. I blame that really good deal I got on a cold air intake

I'll never be able to keep my car stock. This car is too reliable and if I keep it stock, what chance do I have to dig deeper into the car other than a simple oil change and car washing?

For the past 3 years of my relationship with my S, I've done several mods to it, some are for comfort and bling and some are for performance, some mods were necessary because of the other mod, I know this is a money pit but it's all part of my experience with S. Beside, the way I look at it, I am actually saving some $$$ with all these DIY. I learn a great deal from researching, talking and doing the actual installation. By all mean I am no expert but I just like to know a little bit more about the car instead of just driving it and washing it.

just a personal preference.

I'll be putting on 225/255 star specs pretty soon...does that still mean I'm stock overall?
