You have to be careful with buying exotic pets from petstores, I learned the hard way. Pet stores buy the "defected" ones from breeders, and I mean "defected" as genes more suseptable (sp) to illness and other health issues. This is true for chinchillas and Im sure it carries over for sugar gliders, so go ahead and find a vet that can treat him and give check ups. Best of luck to you, they are cool animals!
