This project was started before my time although technically, since I tune @ TDC, it still affects me.

Yes it's regrettable, the issue had been already handled along with a refund before it was paraded online. Customer got LS6 intake, aftermarket heads, aftermarket cam and amongst other things. The issue was paraded around after this had been address and the OP took it down. Yes it's regrettable and yes, it sucks. The exhaust system was a poor attempt at rescuing the original exhaust system after the driveshaft snapped and tore it to hell, in order to take the car to a car show. It doesn't make anything right. On a personal level, it was disgusting. It was a drop in the bucket. Follow the eblogger to keep up with past and future projects so you can see what we do. http://tdcauto.blogspot.com/

To Nicole and Yves, thank you for the kind words.

It sucks that this project started before you even worked there and your the one that had to make the apologies. That says a lot about your character though. No offense Hubie, but I think you might be the most trustworthy guy there. I'm not so sure about the other guys. You should be the one running that shop!

On a personal level, thank you Nicole. I understand what you are saying.

In reality, we are usually the ones cleaning up after other shops (yes, even well known regional shops mentioned on this forum) although we never point them out by name, especially after they made amends with the customer. Hence why we have customers as far as Charleston, Raleigh and Tennessee come down. It’s really and truly an awkward situation for myself and the guys at the shop who are equally distraught from this. I know they are very capable of doing their job effectively, especially our new guys. At this point, we won’t resolve to finger pointing or escape goats. Ultimately, it was everyone’s responsibility at the shop to keep this from happening back then and now. Granted we have additional staff and improved business practices since.

Like previously mentioned some of you guys have been following our work either on our eblogger or other sponsoring forums and know what we are capable of. Only thing we can do now is rely on the workmanship of our past and future projects, to let that speak for itself instead of relying on empty rhetoric or finger pointing.

We’ve taken several steps to prevent such a disgusting monstrosity of a situation from EVER happening again. The most noticeable is if one of our mechanics works on a car, then another has to test drive the car and sign off on the car. Similar to the buddy system in the Army. Believe it or not, something as simple as that has went a long way.

I must say as a professional mechanic by trade and a car builder/fabricator on the side that was an incredible display of getting in over your head. I'm sure the guys at TDC are very emberassed about this but unfortuneately this is all too common. So many of the so called tuner shops hire young guys with a passion for modifying cars but no real skill or experience. They bolt on some exhaust's, cold air kits, maybe even a turbo or supercharger kit, and think they can do anything. The results are never good as we all can see. Everyone makes a mistakes and hopefully the owner's of the shop have learned that they are not fabricators, and most defineatly not welder's. I have spoke to a few people who now some of the people at TDC to get an opinion of there abilities to tune my turbo s and I was told by more than one to look elsewhere. No disrespect to the shop but the reputation locally is not very good. Hope they can do better in the future.

^^ Thanks Yves. I will try as soon as I get freed up on a Tuesday. lol.

^ At this point, do what you will.

Regarding tuning. I let my work speak for itself.

The following link includes imports we have tuned.
http://www.carolinahondas.com/top-dead-center/

My own RSX-S, laid down 551whp before the tires spun on the dyno on pump gas. 3-4 years, 40K miles of daily driving and track beat downs, and still going strong.

I don't know who advised you on my tuning abilities but it was obviously someone who was not tuned by me.

Also, since that happened, we have hired a fabricator. To presume it was "young guys" or this or that is premature. It's simply a complete disregard for everything and anything relating to the word craftsmanship. No other way around it.

Wow, I havent had a laugh like that at someones expense in a long time. Well, we all make mistakes in life, important thing is that you learn from them and dont repeat them. Sounds like you guys made the situation right and aernt making excuses. Good luck with your business.

Have you guys registered with NASA to be an offical dyno station? Need to get the track car dynoed.
