From what I have read, the S is not set up to drift as those cars you see on TV. There are currently 2-3 S2000 that are on the drifting circuit. From my understanding most of the suspension has been changed out to make the car a bit more unstable so it will drift.

As far as flipping I don't think that is very likely. If speed and angle are correct, the car should stay grounded. However, get some extra money for tires!!

In short the S is not a drifting car, it is a cornering car, let's keep it that way!

It's not a drag car either

Get a 240sx if you would like to drift. An S13 can be found relatively cheap ( i got mine for $700 on ebay...it needed some stuff, but with a new trans and timing chains, water pump and thermostat, Im into it for about $1250 so far...needs paint). For a reliable inexpensive RWD platform its hard to beat!

Dont listen to them. You can drift in any car with crappy enough tires. My highly modified orange nissan sentra can even drift with my cheap kumho all season tires.

The trick to drifting an S without modifying the suspension is to put hard, narrow tires on the rear - as long as you can break traction reliably you can drift.
