Default And there were a few Vettes..

And so there were a few Vettes..

While we were in Las Vegas we decided to drive to the Grand Canyon
and check it out. Because it was such a drive (5 hours) we ended up
staying in Williams, AZ (about 45 minutes from the Canyon) for the night.

The next morning I went ouside for a walk and saw 4 Corvettes with
the owners performing the all too familiar 'Morning wash' ritual

got talking to the guy in the burgundy 50th annyversary edition and
he told me that they came from a car show in Colorado and were in town
for a day or two to attend another car show. I noticed the tips on
his exhaust and asked him if it was a 50th annyversary issue to which
he replied that it was aftermarket and that all of them were running
exhausts from B&B http://www.bbtriflo.com/ but he had the slanted tips.
He was running the 'route 66' exhaust and the other guys the 'triflow' exhaust.

Some more chit chat ensued and then he turns around and tells the guy
in the yellow one to show me his engine. They guy obliges and I am greeted
by the sight of flames painted on all the covers. I thought it was
quite tasteful considering that there were no other visible modifications
to the engine.

The whole time that we were talking they were taking shots at each other:
"Hey, since you are finished with yours you should come and help me
you old fart!"..."You amateur, you should know by now that washing the
car comes before having breakfast!" ... "Don't worry... nobody will notice
the dirt on your car... they will notice the girly burgandy color though!"
.... I could not help but to imagine a certain few of us a few years
from now...

Well, carrying all of my family in a bus of an Expedition encouraged me to keep it just above
the limit (the drive to Williams was only 4 hours)
