Driving back to greenville from greenwood today and got stop for tinted windows. too dark, 20% read 14 on his meter. luckily he was cool about it and gave me a warning instead of a 400$ tick. moral of the story is, if your tinted, stay away from wareshoals. statetrooper at that! needless to say i will retint with 35%. 27% is the limit. 20 on the back.

So in thought, the S has about a 6% tint already. roll them windows down thru wareshoals!LOL.

 

Haha, I JUST got retinted to 35%, the S had 5% when I bought it. Every time I saw a cop my windows would go down, lol. I even got through an inspection by having my top/windows down once.

 

Funny how they pick times to enforce it. on the way down i passed three troopers, none flinch. just the only one on the way back. go figure.LOL.

 

Damnit yves I live in Ware Shoals and I have 5% on mine. At least he let you go. The Troopers on 25 between Gwood and Greeville are no joke man. My wife is a nurse in Gwood and she's been stopped for speeding at least 10 times in the last five years. Thank god they don't ticket hospital staff or she would have no license. Glad you made it out with a warning. He probably thought you were a punk kid out looking for trouble.

 

Yeah he was surprise to see a old fart like me behind the wheel of an S. He was definatly cool. i think he liked my car.hahahahah!

Yves, you should be able to find a shop in SC that can will 27% and put the sticker behind it (doubt if they'll sticker the 20% on the back window though).

Yves, we just had Sun Control tint the windows on May's G35. In my experience they have always offered the best price, and they offer a lifetime warranty. I know they beat Rogers and Masters Elec. prices, since she called them first. I told her to call SC and get their price...since that is where Daddy was gonna have it done anyway Her car was the 10th vehicle I've had them tint over the years, and I have NEVER had a problem with their work.
